A French interior designer and sculptor who trained at the École des Arts Décoratifs. Mourgue gained international fame when Stanley Kubrick selected his Djinn Chair for the space station scenes in ‘2001: A Space Odyssey.’ His work is defined by organic forms and a futuristic sensibility.
