One of Japan’s foremost product designers. After helping establish IDEO’s Tokyo office, Fukasawa went independent, guided by his philosophy of ‘Without Thought’ — designing objects that people reach for unconsciously. His acclaimed works include the MUJI wall-mounted CD player and the Hiroshima Chair for Maruni Wood Industry. He also serves as director of the Japan Folk Crafts Museum.
